  1. I do not agree with allocated parking spaces in apartments. It will be chaos as you cant park in a space as its allocated yet there is no other spaces left. Most apartments have 2 cars and there just is not enough spaces for the apartments and Cosgraves did not build any surplus for house guests. Use the sink fund to build more spaces. The main issue is house residents and there guests parking in the spaces and the solution is simple RESPECT apartment residents. If numbers are allocated then its obvious which apartment(s) are vacant and leaves them open to burglary leaving a massice security issue. Will EG management takes responsibilty for advertising am apartment is vacant WHEN it gets burgled. The other issue is the lack of apartment owners on the committee which needs to be pro-rata to get a real picture of what its like to live in the estate for all residents. Eugene 61 Church Drive

  2. Hi Eugene,
Dave here, I am a member of the resident's committee so will answer as best I can.
The allocation of parking spaces was proposed and voted on at two consecutive AGMs so the committee is just doing what it has been told to.
My understanding is that no further spaces can be created as this contravenes the planning agreement for the estate.
For security reasons, allocated spaces will not be numbered to match apartment numbers - the 18 spaces outside your block will be numbered 1 - 12 so you might have space 7 but live in apartment 61. The remaining 6 spaces will be marked as for the use of apartment owners and their visitors only.
I believe that the plan for allocation of spaces will be circulated to all apartments as part of the project.
Finally, following the last AGM three new resident's have volunteered to join the committee and all, I think, are resident's of apartments.
We have asked time and again in the newsletter for more volunteers from the apartments but nobody put themselves forward - believe me that as a house owner I really don't want to get involved in apartment parking matters.

  3. Hi Dave,

I have put my name forward 3 times to go onto the committe by email to the committee and ignored. I have given up going to the AGM's as I felt the management company are not listening and have not since day 1.

I have spoken to a number of residents and owners in Church Drive apartments and they do not want the spaces allocated as they feel it will create rows.

There is more issues in apartment living that is constantly ignored by the committee and wyse are a joke. I emailed over a year ago about something and no reply. Needless to say I have given up on the system.
